The Indian Premier League Winners


The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India contested every year by franchise teams representing Indian cities. The league, founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) member Lalit Modi in 2007, is scheduled over April and May of every year.


IPL Winner Season 1, 2008:
Rajasthan Royal representing Jaipur and it is owned by Manoj Badale, won the first IPL tournament by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets. The final venue was DY Patil Stadium. The captain of the team at that time was Shane Warne. This team is currently suspended for two years.


IPL Winner Season 2, 2009:
Deccan Chargers won the Second IPL season. Deccan Chargers is Hyderabad based Franchise and it was owned by Deccan Chronicle holdings Ltd. The team won under the captaincy of Adam Gilchrist, who is an Australian Player.


IPL Winner Season 3, 2010:
The winner of the third season of IPL tournament was Chennai Super Kings, who won the tournament by 22 runs against Mumbai Indians. The captain of the team was Mahendra Sing Dhoni and the franchise is owned by Indian Cements.


IPL Winner Season 4, 2011:
The winner of the fourth season was again Chennai Super kings who won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 58 runs. The final match was played at the M.A. Chidambram Stadium and there were a total of ten teams when CSK won the final match and bagged the trophy.


IPL Winner Season 5, 2012:
The winner of the fifth season was Kolkata Knight Riders who won by 5 wickets against the two time winners Chennai Super kings. Shahrukh Khan owns the team and the captain at that time was Sourav Ganguly.


IPL Winner Season 6, 2013:
The winner of the sixth Season was Mumbai Indians, owned by the Reliance Industry. The team won by 23 runs against Chennai Super Kings, and the final match was played at Eden Gardens.


IPL Winner Season 7, 2014:
The winner of the seventh season was again Kolkata Knight Riders, who won by 3 wickets defeating Kings XI Punjab in the final match. The final match was played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.


IPL Winner Season 8, 2015:
The winner of the eighth season was again Mumbai Indians, who won the final match against Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs. The final match was played at the Eden Gardens.


IPL Winner Season 9, 2016: Sunriser Hyderabad
The winner of the IPL 9th season is Sunrisers Hyderabad who won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by � runs. The final match was played at the M.A. Chidambram Stadium on 29th may 2016, in the final match Sunrisers Hyderabad put 208 runs on the board, and there were a total of eight teams when Sunrisers Hyderabad won the final match and bagged the trophy.
